Senior Account Executive
With more than five years of experience in journalism and public relations, Ober Delgado has developed communication strategies and content targeted to US (general market and US Hispanic), Canadian and Latin American audiences. Ober has worked with clients like the Ministry of Tourism of Dominican Republic (MITUR), the Acapulco Destination Marketing Office, ProChile, the Mexico Tourism Board, the Ministry of Tourism of Spain, the Cancun Convention & Visitors Bureau, IBEROSTAR Hotels & Resorts and United Airlines, as well as volunteered for nonprofit organizations like the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, La Región Hispana in Salt Lake City, Utah and the LEO Club, sponsored by the Lions Club International Foundation.
Previously, Ober coordinated the strategic communication’s work for MITUR in six offices in Latin America. He also acted as a media planner and buyer of traditional outlets in LATAM and developed brand activations, media programs and coordinated and executed press trips. His most outstanding press trip was with National Geographic Television, which required coordination and arrangements for a month-long visit to the country. In the US and Canada, Ober oversaw the strategy for tourism promotion of Acapulco, developing a media program focused on trade and consumer press to promote a destination that faced perception challenges due to security concerns. The program included work with the industry, including cruise shipping events and tourism fair participation. His most outstanding coverage for Acapulco included New York Times, People Magazine and YouTube channel Fun for Louis, by Louis Cole, one of the top YouTubers and influencers in the travel industry.
Ober also worked as a volunteer at La Región Hispana in Salt Lake City, where he distinguished himself as communications manager, developing all type of content for the organization’s website, creating and promoting events and managing social media accounts.
At Edelman, Ober is a specialist in the Travel and Hospitality sector. He works on regional marketing for IBEROSTAR Hotels & Resorts in the United States, focused on strategic positioning of the Spanish hotel chain and the promotion of its Caribbean properties. For United Airlines, Ober works on positioning and brand awareness within the US Hispanic market.
Ober’s experience in communication spans beyond public relations and marketing, including journalism and radio hosting in his native Ecuador.
